For when away on the road, I had decided to put a TV into the van. It arrived today along with the mounting bracket for it, so I got it fitted today.
When I was wiring up the panel, I ensured I put a spare cable up behind it for connecting a TV up to, obviously it is a 12V TV I have ordered, though it can also be ran off 240V and have the power supply for that also for if I am hooked up to mains.
I went for a ceiling/roof mount for the TV as I knew it would be safer and easier to bolt to the air con duct rather than the ply lined veltrim.
So I drilled 4 pilot holes and lined up the bracket and screwed it into position.
As you can see in the top pic above, the mount folds up so I won't bang my head getting in and out of the van, and it also tilts/rotates depending where I am viewing the screen from.
I then screwed the TV to the mount, held in place by 4 screws, and it all feels pretty solid.
Then it was a quick test, am still waiting on the aerial coming for it which I will just mount to the side of the van when using the TV.
You might have noticed I have just used the attached 12V plug and put it direct into the panel instead of using the wires pictured earlier. This was just to test it out, though I might just keep it that way and swap to the 240V socket when on a hook up, will see how the useage goes.
It also has a built in DVD player, Freeview Tuner, PVR function, HDMI socket and USB socket so plenty of options to choose from.
Only issue I have with it so far, is that the volume isn't really loud.. but I can plug in a speaker to it if I wanted to boost it a bit.
Update 15/04/15
The aerial arrived today, so tested it out and it works fine, it picked up all the Freeview and Digital Radio Channels...
